feeling sort of down and stuck in a rut. she throws on some jazz music, the john coltrane pandora station. you never think you’re going to be that person getting down around the holidays, she thinks. but there she is. feeling down, days before thanksgiving. charlie brown pops into her head. maybe for obvious reasons. the thanksgiving special. he’s an old soul. though the hand drawn aesthetic speaks to a certain childish quality, there really wasn’t anything youthful about charlie brown cartoons. the accompanying jazz scores certainly didn’t help.
